Heather McAllister

COACH

Heather has been playing basketball since she was little.  She started playing with her brother and the other boys at Kindercare.  She started playing organized basketball when she was in 5th grade.  Heather stopped playing after 8th grade, however, missed playing so she tried out for her high school team, Parkway South, her junior year.  She played both her junior and senior year graduating in 2004.

 

After high school, Heather went to St. Louis Community College-Meramec and played basketball there.   In her sophomore year, the team broke multiple records with 20 wins in one season, and a Regional XVI Championship for the first time in 29 years.  Heather was 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-Region, and 3rd Team All-American.  Also while playing basketball she earned her Associates degree in Elementary Education.  After Meramec, she transferred to Fontbonne University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  While playing at Fontbonne, Heather was 2nd- Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-Tournament.

 

After graduating from college Heather was an assistant coach at Meramec for a year.  After Meramec, she became an assistant coach at Fontbonne and is still presently there.  Heather’s full time job is a 3rd grade teacher at Imagine Academy of Cultural Arts.
