Evan Pedersen

COACH

Having played at Parkway West High School, Northwestern University, and Saint Louis University, Pedersen has spent significant time playing and coaching in the St. Louis area.  As a head coach at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and Forest Park Community College, Pedersen compiled a record of 98-83 over seven seasons.  He helped build a basketball program at the College of Pharmacy that had never seen more than 5 wins in a season to being local small college force to be taken seriously.  His 1998-99 team finished 17-7 and reached the semi-finals of the NAIA Independent Region tournament.  His
2002-03 team posted 15 wins which was the largest turnaround win total in school history.  He also spent a year at Forest Park Community College and posted a record of 14-17.

Coach Pedersen played under Charlie Spoonhour at Saint Louis University from 1992-94 and helped the Billikens to a top 20 national ranking, reaching the NCAA tournament for the first time in 37 years in 1994.  Before that he played at Northwestern University in the Big 10 Conference and started at center both his Freshman and Sophomore year in the Big 10.  He is a local graduate of Parkway West High School, helping the school to third place in State his Sophomore year and as a senior was named to the Post Dispatch All Metro Team.  In 2007 he was inducted into the the Billiken Hall of Fame with his 1993-94 team.

His wife's name is Mary and they have one son, Logan (14), and 8th grader at Chaminade Middle School, and two girls, Jilane (10) and Arielle (7).
